First Communion

Receiving Holy Communion worthily brings us graces that affect us both spiritually and physically. Spiritually, our souls become more united to Christ, both through the graces we receive and through the change in our actions that those graces effect. Frequent Communion increases our love for God and for our neighbor, which expresses itself in action, which makes us more like Christ.

Children wishing to receive their first communion must either be enrolled in a Catholic School or attending the Sunday Religious Education Classes.  The First Communion Classes meet regularly. The First Communion Mass will be in May. The classes guide the children and their families as the children prepare to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.  Children will also prepare for their first Reconciliation at this time.
